QGIS Open Day, August 2024

QGIS Open Day: On the last Friday of every month QGIS community holds an informal virtual meeting to engage with the awesome QGIS community. The agenda is dependent on the community and encourages a culture of collaboration and self-organisation – anyone can add topics that interest them on the event page, or get in touch with the event organisers if they are interested in facilitating a session.

On the next QOD we will present new version of our MOLUSCE plugin.

MOLUSCE is a land cover change analysis module for QGIS that NextGIS developed more than 10 years ago with support from Asia Air Survey. This module allows predicting the future land cover of an area based on historical data. MOLUSCE has received its first update in a long time, making it fully functional in the latest versions of QGIS, along with some improvements.

In this talk, we will discuss the update and show full MOLUSCE workflow: data preparation, simulation process and validation.
